General Questions
What should I bring when I am admitted at Sleep Medix?
We encourage you to dress in comfortable, casual clothing. All clothing should be labeled with your name. In addition, you should bring:
- Any items that were used on a regular basis prior to your illness, such as eyeglasses, hearing aids, dentures, and the appropriate containers
- Sturdy shoes or sneakers and loose socks, if appropriate
- Loose-fitting pants or sweatpants, shirts that are comfortable and easy to put on, undergarments, bathrobe, and pajamas
- Laundry bag
- Toiletries
- Electric razor
Should I bring my own medications?
Yes you can. However, all medications ordered by your physician are provided by HFSC and distributed by your nurse. Please speak with your nurse if you have any questions.
Will I share a room with someone ?
Most of our rooms are private. You will not be sharing room with anyone. However, in the scenario that all our private rooms are filled up, you will be admitted in one of our few semi private rooms for the period of your admission.
What amenities are in my room ?
All our rooms are fully ensuite. This means that you have access to your own bathroom, toilet, television, wardrobe, and telephone services.
Can my relatives visit me while I am on admission?
Yes, your relatives can visit you while you are on admission but this is ONLY during the official visiting hours. In the light of COVID-19, we have restricted visits to TWO members, and they have to comply fully to our COVID-19 policy on hospital visitations.
What happens if I miss my hospital appointment ?
We advise that you get us informed ahead of time if you are likely to miss your appointment. When this happens, we will quickly reschedule your visit for the next available slot for that specialist.
Will I get a refund if I am overbilled ?
We try to be very transparent in our billing process as much as possible. However, if you are overbilled, we will issue a refund to you. This usually takes about 2 working days.
About Our Services
Do you conduct sleep studies?
Yes, we conduct sleep studies in our facility. Sleep studies generally take place in a sleep lab during a person’s normal sleeping hours.
Do you care for diabetes patients?
Yes, we do care for persons living with diabetes mellitus. We have an inhouse endocrinologist that is in charge of this.
Can I access Primary Care?
We are open 247, and you can access a wide range of primary care services including cold, flu, malaria, sprains etc
What if the doctor I want to see is not available?
We will make the necessary arrangement to get you the doctor or refer you ASAP!
What should I expect at Sleep Medix?
Expect to meet a warm, courteous and friendly staff in a calm and serene atmosphere.
